The world’s first concept of its sort
The DreadFactory sees itself as a portal for Dreadheads and those who want to become dreadheads. In order to reduce driving distances the DreadFactory forwards requests to dread stylists dread stylists in the corresponding region that have been tested for quality, convenience and reliability. At the moment those regions are Flensburg, Kiel, Lübeck, Hamburg, Bremen, Muenster, Braunschweig, Berlin, Leipzig, Dresden, Zurich and Constance.
The secret of our quality lies in the constant exchange of information among each dread factorist. We learn from each other and share each others experiences and tricks, and so we are constantly developing. The variety of our dreaders creates an incredible range of knowledge and a wealth of experience that benefits our customers. In addition, we have a motto: Appointments are made only if we actually want it. This guarantees our customers a dread stylist who is in a good mood and never the feeling of getting dreaded by demotivated people.
Our office in Brunswick is working constantly to offer our services everywhere possible.
But that’s not all. With the individual Dreadhats that there is to acquire more recently in our shop, we dare our entry into the complete round-Dread-lifestyle package. A specially created for Dreadlocks Dread Shampoo is currently in the testing phase, a new and colorful bag collection is in progress and several contacts are made to the music scene.
DreadFactory – The Idea
Eventhough we use the word “factory” it does not mean you can expect on assembly-line work. An intimate and cozy atmosphere define the work of the DreadFactory. Each client gets its own individual dreads that fit his personality and his style. The relaxed approach makes it possible to sit still for ten hours without getting too bored.
We have already taken care of the wishes of children, adolescents and adults aged 6-53 years and made them beautiful dreadlocks. Thus we see that dreadlocks are not only for students. Whether a nurse, teacher, butcher, zivi, early retirees or first graders … dreadlocks are increasingly accepted in our society. And not just in OUR society, there have not only been costumers not from all over Germany but also international ones (Finland, Denmark, Holland, Austria, Switzerland, …).
To get rid of the clichee drug-addicted dreadhead we are working hard to make dreadlocks presentable for everyone. Tidy dreads are the cornerstone for this hairstyle to finally get generally accepted.
More and more famous musicians, but also well-known designers and models also help the tarnished image of dreadlocks to improve. Dreadlocks often give a face a particular expression, self confidence and sometimes they suddenly let the dreadhead bloom properly. Everyone can live out their creativity with his dreads, the hair is always something special and private. Therefore, the risk is low that dreadlocks mutate to an all destructive trend.

How it all began
Basically it all started when Bine in the tender age of 15 years created her dreads. She then grew more and more purely to the subject, tried creating dreadlocks on all her friends and herself, and learned from every mistake that was made. Then, after a few years it was time to expand the dreading to raise her pocket money, having no desire to give tuition anymore. A business license was needed and a website was crafted. She improved her techniques and she got increasingly faster and faster. Over time, more and more customers came to her from all over Germany, so she soon needed a helping hand. Max started to work with Bine. Max did not stay alone for long, and from there on the DreadFactory grew more and more.
